We've had a really good month. The weather is warming up and we're having fun doing lots of things outside.
Lauren ran her first 5K this month. She has been training for a couple of months with a group called "Girls on the Run". She has really enjoyed it. Larry ran it with her and said they only walked twice and it was for a couple of feet, other than that..she was running. I was so proud of her. And to watch her hit that finish line running hard so she could finish strong was awesome.
Josh had his 7th birthday. We had a friends party at our house. It was a "Transformer's" theme. We did a clue following game which kept the kids running back and forth between our house and the school. I find this activity to be great for 10 little boys (and 2 girls). He also went on a school field trip to the Botanical Gardens. They've been studying butterflies in school so it was fun to go see them and get close enough to even touch them.
Hope is almost 6 months old now. She's definitely got a little personality of her own. She thinks she's the boss of this whole family, and the truth is...she kind of is! She is so sweet when she's happy, but when she's grumpy you'd better be doing what she needs. She's earned the name "honery-ella". Still a princess, just sometimes a grumpy princess!
School is almost out and I'm really looking forward to having the kids around. They're both so much help, and I know they're ready for some summer fun. We have our vacation the first week of June to Stanford and then when we get back we'll be getting the pool up. Can't wait to see how our little Bean likes the water!
