I just can't believe Hope is already 5 months old !! The time really does fly by. She is doing so good. She is trying really hard to sit up on her own. If I lay her down on her back she lifts her head off the ground and tries to pull herself up. Great workout for her little abs!
We had Josh's 7th birthday a couple of weeks ago. That's another one I can't believe. It really seems like yesterday he was 3 years old riding around everywhere on my hip. He loves entertaining Hope. Lauren is great at helping change diapers and feeding Hope, while Josh is her entertainment. And it's nice because he never gets tired of it (even when she's a little tired of it:)
We're counting down to summer around here. Josh is talking non stop about the new Indiana Jones movie. It comes out May 22nd which I think is also the last day of school. That should be a very fun day. Today it is about 70 degrees outside so we'll be enjoying the warm weather working in the yard. Josh wants to get the swimming pool up but I told him it needs to be just a little warmer (for mom anyway).
Lauren and Josh are both so into Webkinz toys. They each have about 7 pets now. Grammie has bought most of them for them. And Grammie even bought her own Webkinz to play with. (I say it's good to be young at heart!!) The online games are a little addictive. Lauren loves sleeping with all her stuffed animals and even her Webkinz. The other night I went to tuck her in and she was sound asleep, but I had to take a picture of her. She has always loved her stuffed animals. They all have a name and each one has a story. The purple poodle is Penelope. She got her when she was in the hospital with pneumonia when she was 6 years old. That little poodle was from her Grammie and she CANNOT sleep without it. It's funny how they get attached to things. Josh used to sleep with a stuffed puppy dog, named "Puppy". He loved him (we had to re-stitch him several times). We left him at the hotel one year when we went to Disneyland. Josh really missed him, but I thought what a great place to end up for the rest of your life right? The Happiest Place on Earth!
I'm starting a Children's performing group out here. It's called Sunshine Generation. I was in the group when I was a little girl in Utah and Lauren was when she was little too. I think it will be fun and keep me busy. Here's a link to my Sunshine blog: http://www.sunshinegenerationfruita.blogspot.com/
Note to all co-bloggers: I read on another blog (thanks Erica) a website where you can turn your blog into a scrapbook. I've been printing mine off and putting it in a scrapbook, but this will definitely save the printer ink:) Here's a link for anyone interested...http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook
Thanks to everyone checking in with us. We're all doing great out here. Enjoy your families because time really, truly does fly by. Love, Jen
