Has Spring Sprung??
Happy Easter!! We've been having a really good couple of months. The weather here is starting to warm up and we've been able to play outside a lot which has been so nice. We've also been able to start taking walks in the evening and Hope loves riding in her stroller. She loves being outside.
Over spring break me and the kids went to Utah for the week. We had lots of fun. We went to the new Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. The kids really enjoyed that. Josh and Lauren both touched a ray fish. I would not come within 5 feet of that thing :)
We also played with the cousins, went roller skating and saw Disney Princesses on Ice. Josh has always loved to go to see Disney on Ice but this was the first time it was only princesses. He wasn't sure it would be cool if went, but I reminded him whenever there's a princess there's always a handsome prince to save the day. So that got him excited to go. It ended up there was a dragon at the end so he thought it was totally cool.
We also went to lunch with Larry's Grandma Janice (we call her GG). She is the Grandma Hope Janice is named after. They both have bright blue eyes and when GG saw Hope trying to suck her thumb she said that was the Janice in her because she was a thumb sucker when she was a baby. Looks like we named her well!
Hope loves taking baths. She kicks and splashes so much she almost empties the water out.
She just had her 4 month well baby check last week. She weighed 13.1 lbs and was 23 1/2 inches long. She's grown so much. Her doctor said she was in the 40 percentile for weight. Which is so amazing for a baby born one month early. She's just caught right up. We started her on rice cereal and she absolutely loves it. She didn't have much of that trying to figure it out phase. I can't wait until she's old enough to start on fruits, she's going to be in heaven! ;)
Larry, Lauren & Josh have been doing really good also. Larry has inventory at his work this month so he's been putting in a lot of hours. His inventory is this week and then of course it's getting warmer which is a really busy time for him at work as well. I think he will be ready for our vacation in June most of all!
I had my 3 month CAT scan last week and also an appointment with my Oncologist here in Grand Junction. She said the cancer has grown only a very small amount and is still not endangering my health. So I will not start any treatments at this point. The only thing I've really felt from the cancer itself is a lot of fatigue. I started drinking a supplement with acai berry in it. It's called Miracle Juice, fruits of the world. It says drinking one ounce a day is about equivalent to eating 30 pomegranate fruits. Anyway, I've been drinking it for about a month and I've noticed a huge boost in my energy. I wasn't sure if it was from the juice until I went to Utah for a week and left it home. I did start to feel a little of the fatigue coming on (the time change didn't help either). But now I'm back on it, and feeling wonderful. So who knows!
My next CAT scan of course is in June when I go to Stanford. Until then, I just keep on keeping on and thank Heavenly Father for every single day! Love, Jen
