It's all coming back to me now

Hi everyone! Hope and I are doing great! I'm starting to remember all the fun and wonderful things about newborn babies. They're so sweet and so darn cute...and they eat every two hours :) Hope likes to be held at all times. She can be sound asleep and if I put her down she starts to squeak. I'm cutting her a little slack since she's really not even supposed to be here for a few more weeks. I was a little surprised at her being early and yet born with so much dark brown hair. Lauren was born with lots of dark hair also and then eventually it turned blonde.
Everything went great for the delivery. I was induced at around 11:00 am, and then when they checked me at 2:00pm I was dilated to a 4. They checked again at 4:00 and I was still at a 4. So Larry decided to go downstairs with some of the family and eat (we figured I would be a few more hours!) Then at 4:20 they said the baby's heart rate was dropping after each contraction, and they were a little concerned about her oxygen level. At that point I was put on oxygen, and they checked me again. They said I was fully dilated and ready to deliver. Luckily my brother had gone down to get Larry because he barely made it back for the big event. Hope was born at 4:41 pm.
She is perfect, and perfectly healthy. This has been a week of being thankful and I am so thankful she is here and safe. I am also very thankful for all of the love and support I continue to get. Thanks for all your replies to my blog. I love reading every one of them, and they are so very uplifting. Love, Jen

She's so beautiful!! If I didn't know better, I would never have thought she was a whole month early. Her color is great, and she just looks so perfect. Congratulations, you guys. We're sure happy for you and continue to keep you in our prayers as time rolls forward. Can't wait to see you soon and hold that little one.

Hey guys! It's so great to hear the good news of your beautiful baby! She is absolutely gorgeous (even if she does look like Larry:))! I can't believe how chubby her little cheeks are--in spite of being swallowed up in that car seat! We look so forward to seeing you back here in Fruita and our prayers are still going your way!
Love,

Hi Benson family! I loved seeing all the pictures - even though I'd much rather be there to see you in person... I think hope looks like Lauren. Especially from the side around her mouth and chin. So beautiful!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Nothing like an event like this to help you keep the perspective on what it's all about. I'll be talking to you soon.
Love,
Crystal Davis

Hello Jen and family,
Baby girl Hope is absolutely beautiful. I'm only sorry that I wasn't able to come visit before you had to head back home. I just wanted to drop a quick note and tell you that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. You are such an amazing fighter and are so fortunate to have such an enormous support team, you are going to kick this in the butt!
I really want to thank your mom for sharing your journey... everyone is so busy with there own lives that most of the time we don't take enough time to stop and absorb what is really going on around us. I will definately keep up on your blogs to track your progress and I will keep inquiring with your mom.
If there is anything I can do please let me know. Have a safe drive home.
Take care,
B.Brown

Larry, Jen, Lauren, & Josh,
What a sweet addition to your family! We are so grateful that she arrived safely and that everyone is doing well. The pictures are so precious and really capture the joy that comes only with the birth of a new little baby. We love you all and look forward to your return. Take care,

I just called and left Larry a message on his phone. But I would also like to tell you that Hope is so beautiful. I'm so happy that you are doing okay. Tell Josh and Lauren that I said hello and take care of their little sister.
Take Care and God Bless
Miss you all. Kris Wallace
